Do you love driving a truck but hate being away from home? You might flourish in our open position for a Class A Truck Driver.
Sentry is looking for a safe, courteous driver who values a predictable schedule, consistent hours, and a long-term career. We haul loads both in support of our own business operations and on sub-contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Transport finished goods and raw materials.
- Complete required logging and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance, report any problems or damage to management
- Work with dispatch to plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Serve as a Sentry advocate in every interaction with clients and the public.
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Class A driver's license in good standing
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (weather conditions, road construction, etc)
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
- Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs,
- Must be able to step/climb onto trailer and maneuver around complex cargo to inspect and secure loads.
