Audit Senior - STATE AND LOCAL Gov't
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior with a strong background in State and Local Government auditing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and conducting audits of various State and Local Government entities, including Schools, Municipalities, Counties, Cities, and other public sector organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct audits of State and Local Government entities
- Review financial statements, accounting records, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Identify and communicate potential audit issues to management
- Prepare audit reports and recommendations for improvement
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA eligible or CPA
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing State and Local Government entities
- Strong knowledge of Government auditing standards and regulations
- Experience working with Schools, Municipalities, Counties, and Cities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
