The School-Based Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating schoolchildren (ages 3-21) that demonstrate physical, mental and/or cognitive deficits that impede their ability to be successful in the classroom. Evaluation and treatment is based on functional outcomes within the academic setting.
- The School-Based Occupational Therapist is accountable to the School Therapy Program Coordinator and Rehabilitation Services Manager.
- This is a hospital-based combination Inpatient & Outpatient position.
- Works closely with medical staff, clinical staff, and support staff of Weeks Medical Center and more specifically the special education instructors/paraprofessionals, teachers, other professional staff and administrators of the SAUs in which therapy is provided.

Submission Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program and hold minimally a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Must hold a current and valid Occupational Therapy practice license granted from the New Hampshire Office of Allied Health Professions. Required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
- New Grads welcome.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- BLS or scheduling BLS within 6 months of hire. Required.
