What Would You Do?

As a Business Data Analyst, you’ll be at the center of our mission, turning challenges into opportunities with skills like these:

Unleashing Insights:

  • Transform complex data into crystal-clear visualizations and actionable strategies.
  • Collect, process, and analyze data from multiple sources to uncover trends and patterns that guide critical decisions.

Building Smarter Solutions:

  • Develop and implement automated workflows using tools like Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, or other RPA platforms.
  • Build scalable data preparation pipelines for AI/ML integration and ensure seamless integration of data systems.
  • Lead or assist in implementing new data platforms, ensuring all changes are well-documented and effectively communicated.

Empowering Teams:

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their business and data needs, delivering solutions that are easy to use and well-supported.
  • Provide training and support for business intelligence and data visualization tools to make analytics accessible to everyone.

Innovating Processes:

  • Identify manual, repetitive processes and recommend automation opportunities to boost efficiency.
  • Evaluate and refine business models and processes using insights from data and analytics.

Safeguarding Data:

  • Collaborate with database and data governance administrators to ensure data assets are protected, secure, and accurate.
  • Monitor data integrity, validate datasets, and resolve discrepancies to ensure the highest quality data.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to enhance EnergyUnited’s data analysis and governance capabilities.

Driving Business Success:

  • Develop accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial models to support organizational growth.
  • Design and maintain accessible dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Research and implement cutting-edge data tools to keep EnergyUnited at the forefront of innovation.


What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Analytics—or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with experience in automation tools (Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier). Bonus points if you’ve worked with Oracle, Azure, or energy/utility systems!
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you play well with others and can explain complex ideas like a pro.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, always looking to innovate and make data more accessible and impactful.
  • You’ll need a valid NC driver’s license and a good driving record.
