Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on engineer to help transition our company from prototyping to small-scale commercial production. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, manufacturing innovation, and process optimization. The engineer will play a key role in operating and maintaining our equipment, refining production techniques, and designing new components to streamline automation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a binder jetting 3D printer, laser cutter, and compression molding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 3D printers and other fabrication equipment.
  • Design and fabricate custom components using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Assist in developing manufacturing processes for scaling production.
  • Improve equipment reliability by developing comprehensive maintenance and operation guidelines.
  • Work with materials testing and process optimization to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Collaborate with the team on R&D projects to advance our sustainable product lines.


Qualifications
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field, OR 4+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD design (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience operating and repairing 3D printers and other fabrication equipment.
  • Some familiarity with programming for automation (e.g., G-code, Python, or embedded systems).
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in a hands-on production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to innovate in sustainable manufacturing.
