As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.Responsibilities:
  • Work with OEM/ODM on the design, optimization, integration, testing and commercialization of Qualcomm 5G, IoT, Robotics solutions.
  • Work with cross-region and cross-functional teams around the clock for resolutions.
  • Memory component support for Linux embedded system.
  • BSP integration, development, system debugging on OEM/ODM designs.Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • BSP system debug.
    • DDR memory, eMMC I/Fs, UFS, Flash/NAND, Peripheral interfaces including USB, PCIe, SDIO, SPI, I2C, I3C, etc.
    • PMIC, knowledge on LDO/SMPS, Crystals/Clocks, Battery charging and Fuel gauge.
    • Windows/Linux/Android framework.Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
    • 3+ years' experience with Programming Language such as C, C++.
    • 3+ years' experience with embedded systems.
    • Experience in Linux/Android software development in both user space and kernel space. System level issues debugging with JTAG or gdb tool.
    • Experience in Linux Kernel driver development, boot optimizations and Linux Kernel power management.
    • Experience with Qualcomm chipset software and firmware development on certain function area.
    • Windows/Linux/Android framework and system integration experience is a plus.
    • Experience in WDM and ACPI is a plus.
