"I have worked for Lithia Motors Inc. since July 2018 and have found it to be a neutral experience. On one hand, the company has a lot of money to work with and is primarily looking to expand its size through acquisitions. As an employee, I find it helpful that the company is willing to pay extra for resources and technology that will help get the job done. However, as a remote office employee, I often find my own needs such as a headset and a computer that actually handle developing being pushed aside compared to my main office counter parts. In contrast, I must get by on the same type of computer marketing team members used to surf the web. There are many initiatives being taken on by the development team right now but most of which are being worked on by consultants or being talked about many times over only to be put on hold. This leaves my immediate manager always occupied with literally no time to talk about my concerns. I have taken the approach to find my own work during my tenure here as there are many dated process (excel workbooks, manual updating, etc.) that could be improved. However, there is a culture where many employees in this company work on overly complicated processes, bills, etc. that they do not fully understand but also do not want to see there situation improve as it is where most of their work goes to. Without the support from my manager, I cannot change change their minds or force them to use a new application despite my best efforts to show how this will save money and time. As a result, I see a company that has the resources to improve its situation but does not fully act on it."
