"Good place for a stable job; however, not a fast-paced environment. Easy to get stuck in the defense community which utilizes proprietary software and doesn't give the opportunity for much training on new and emerging technologies. Take the good with the bad."

What do you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"The managers focus on the work you do. There is a minimum of favoritism and personality clashes."

"The company is contracting in size right now - make sure the project you are slated to support has long-term funding."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"There isn't enough time or money spent on designing a nice product for internal applications."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more involved in project specifics, review work products for correctness."

"Good place to work, but creativity is not actively rewarded."

"I loved being able to work on (arguably) the greatest fighter jet in the world."

"Learn the chain of command, document all communications and activities, and push hard to make ideas acknowledged."

"The rigidity of government contracting and the 'this is how we've always done things' mentality made it difficult to foster new ideas using new technologies."

"I'd suggest that management become more apt to supply its workers with current computing tools and equipment on a more timely basis."

"Lockheed Martin expects the highest in talent and professionalism mostly due to the customers we interact with on a daily basis. My best recommendation is to approach this company like many others with an attitude of virtuosity, 'doing the common, uncommonly well'."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"The only potential negative aspect of working at Lockheed Martin is the same issue of working at any large corporation, layers of bureaucracy, and speed of which change can be achieved."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"At Lockheed Martin, my biggest suggestion is to put more accountability onto the individual programs to create cost effective solutions while still providing a high quality product. At times I believe certain programs work under the belief of having a 'blank check'."

"New projects, forward thinking, good people. Good pay, good benefits."

"Experience with military is very helpful. Be specific on skills."

"At times it's too big, employees can get lost professionally."
