"The staff at both stores I worked in were excellent. There is constant customer interaction, which I loved. I am not afraid of work, and the position of Zone Manager is definitely hands on. The seasonal changes also kept the job from getting mundane. Lowe's is a fun place to work."

"As with most retail positions, payroll cuts require doing more with less. If you cannot develop a team atmosphere, you will not be successful. I also was not pleased by the integrity of upper management."

"Follow the company's policies and procedures. Realize that the hourly associates keep the customers coming back, and actively solicit their input in customer service problems."

"Go back to your roots. Most of the senior management know what it was like to work for the largest home improvement chain in the world and know how the vision of Carl Buchan impacted its people."

"At Lowe's, I like the environment of working with people and being able to help them get what they are needing."

"The Lowe's I work for has favoritism. It's an unethical experience working for a company where the managers lie and pick people for supervisor positions, not based on experiences or skill, but on whom they feel are skinnier, or prettier, or whom they have a relationship with outside of work."

"I feel like Sanford Lowes--I'm not sure about all Lowe's but Sanford--definitely needs to get a whole new group of managers who are honest and ethical."
