"Macy's has been one of the greatest places to work for. I am passionate about giving back to the community and so is Macy's. I have been able to help and donate my time to Second Harvest Food Bank. I enjoyed going to work each day at Macy's because I knew I would be making a difference in a customer or colleague's life. I helped others grow in the company by focusing on helping them with their own self-development growth. Although COVID-19 has separated us, I am grateful for all Macy's has been able to offer in my career's success!"

"Check out other large-retailers first before settling on being an employee with Macy's."

What don't you like about working at Macy's?

"No career path, held back - need a release form to grow; comparable to a Kohl's or a Boscovs."

"All managers should work together as a team, Store Manager needs to take more control."

"Talk about floor presence, passion, and understand how the Macy's credit card works. Also be energetic."

What don't you like about working at Macy's?

"The lack of Payroll!!! Human Resource (managers) - what do they do if you need help, all this office does is say call 1-800 Macy's. One Day Sales! The pressure for opening Macy's Credit cards.The schedule and HOURS! Do we have to be open for 72 hours straight Not being able to USE your VAC time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Upper management/district team GO ON THE FLOOR, understand how the business actually works! Understand what MTM's and Sales Managers do now. It's unfortunate and discouraging when upper management talks about their previous assignment, back in the 90's, when the company spent more on their teams - with more payroll and paid more."

"There is nothing that I actually like about working at Macy's."

"If your marry the job you can make it to the top!"

"The negative energy and unrealistic time frames to achieve goals. Misuse of my time by executives."

"The aesthetic of the company. I currently work for a company that is free to own personal interpretation of merchandising and more entrepreneurial based."
