When I was hired because my background was in biology and not engineering I started at significantly less than the other manufacturing engineers. In the three and a half years I worked at Primus and the additional responsibilities I was delegated I don't believe my raises reflected my responsibilities. There had been other supervisors making a substantial more amount than I had been afforded as well as other engineers."

"For a small company, they paid me more than they could afford for my experience. It was mutually benificial because i gave them some knew ideas ihad form other eperiences, and i loved the San Diego area and the people i worked with became like family. As for pay vs. competitors I knew what I was worth and that is what they were willing to pay me, but most knew hires would start out about 5 to 10 percent under the average I would say."
