3.4I've held this language lab assistant position at McNeese for three years. In this time, my supervisor and coworkers have always been friendly, and the work and environment have ranged from reasonable to pleasant. Sadly, being a student employment position at the university, it offers minimum wage and no opportunity for advancement.
3.2MSU is a good school for academics and athletics. The professors are good and many go out their way to assist students. However senior staff is so distant from the needs of campus and students that retention and enrollment have dropped almost 40%. A lack of improvements in areas that demand attention.
Diversity is not important to upper management.
Pay is very low. A university that refuses to modernize.
4.5I have worked as a Computer Science and Math Tutor for nearly 2 years and I have loved every second of it. It is a really great opportunity to grasp a better understanding of my field by teaching it to others rather than by simply learning it for myself.
