"Until a few months ago it was a very good working environment, but over the past 6 months, there have been numerous cutbacks in workforce, and outsourced functions have created a great deal of new challenges."

"Pay closer attention to client needs because alienating clients in this economy can have disastrous results."

"I enjoyed be able to be creative and also being with the largest TV station in the desert area."

"To be prepared to enter into 1990 old sales ways. No software to be used and back to the old basics of paper trail."

"Sales department was not structured nor did they have the proper training to help you grow."

"Internal turmoil within the company makes it very difficult to thrive"
What do you like about working at YellowBook?
"It's like running your own business. You are fairly autonomous."
What don't you like about working at YellowBook?
"The company is in internal turmoil. Communication is poor, and procedures for the same tasks change without prior notice. Back office is making too many mistakes, and turnaround time on Internet products is too long. Products are being rolled out just to make up for lost revenue, and it's confusing reps and customers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Need a full review of internal procedures and processes. Stability needs to be given to the products before new ones are rolled out."

"bad management, unfair distribution of leads and credit problem accounts, bad environment where sales reps are joking loudly, gambling online, taking too many days off unexused, coming in to work under influence of drugs."

"I learned many sales skills to retain customers and bring new customers to the industy. My Managers were experts and great teachers."

"To try the company, as a whole it's a good learning experience, and perhaps if the economy turns, the industry will become more profitable."

"The industry itself is not progressing."

"Research the company's open bankruptcy situation."

"I found the excessive micro-managing to be counter productive. Although, I understood where they were coming from, they receive similar treatment from upper management as well."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They need to come up with ways to keep the sales force happy while producing. Ultimately, they are the company's only hope to make it out of bankruptcy (open)."

"Idearc delievers the best training module for sales employees compared to others in the industry."

"No professional development."

"Management should use 360 rule for input and become more involved in helping employees"

"I got layed off in RIF AUG 6, 2009"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The tip is do not join the company but if you are desperate, watch your back from Managers, and reps who steal leads off your desk or go into your accounts when you have been dealing with client. Manager's do not defend the rules - no rules here."
What don't you like about working at SuperMedia?
"Lay off in moment's notice. No rhyme nor reason ot the decision of who stayed or who was layed off. There were people who had lower numbers than the those who lost their jobs, yet were permitted to stay. WICKED HIGH STRESS VOLUME."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get more experience, take management courses - should hire managers who understand the products or can learn quicker than the employees. Come to office more rather than work remotely. Be fair in dividing good accounts equitably. Very unfair practicies in distributing good or delinquent accounts."
What do you like about working at YellowBook?
"Winning the President's Club in 2008 but the program was cancelled in 2009 due to recession."

"Only if you REALLY need the $"
What don't you like about working at YellowBook?
"They micro-mange you and supervise by threats.They dangle a promotion in front of you to perform better. For example-I was up for promotion for over a year. FFVery high turnover due to mis-mangement and sales qoutas assigned."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire mangers who do not show bias towards reps and mange by intimidation."
