Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Mentor Graphics serves a large number of customers including big-name companies whose IP (intellectual property) needs to be protected at all times while handling their designs and product information. I would advise prospective employees to be able to demonstrate to Mentor Graphics that they are capable of honouring IP handling procedures."
What don't you like about working at Mentor Graphics?
"Mentor Graphics is a software company primarily in the business of designing and marketing cutting-edge computer-aided design (CAD) tools for the integrated circuit (IC) industry. The majority of emnployees are software development engineers. Unfortunately, I was one of the few engineers with a hardware background and our division didn't count heavily when it came to decision making on major issues."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The company has grown to a point where it is beginning to lose qualities of a small company. I would slow down the growth rate if I were running the show."
