"Don't go into this looking to have a career at FIS. While there are many who have been with the company for a very long time, the culture is now geared more toward a temporary work force. They have a reduction in force on average once every 3 years."

"Poor interdepartmental communication. Old culture still lingers with a lack of overall management communication. This atmosphere can foster suspicion, paranoia and fear."

What don't you like about working at Metavante Technologies?

"They acquired our company in 2004. We had been a great boutique shop ctaering to a specific market niche for 30 years and had been very profitable and built great relationships with our customers. Metavante management didn't understand our business and subsequently alienated our customers and destroyed our reputation with the customers leading to a severe decrease in sales. As a result, a large number of long time loyal employees were fired."

"Learn from this and next time you buy a company consider their customer's needs and treat the employees with respect."

"it is challenging, getting to use current visual studio version 2008/3.5 framework"

"you'll do good if you are experience, can handle a lot of stress and are willing to answer the phone at any time"

"fidelity acquire the company and our future is uncertain. the late night calls in the used to bother me a little at first but you get use to it."
