"They are a finance company using Perl and Oracle for both internal and outward-facing software. Recently purchased by another company in a similar business, the company hired contractors to complete a few big projects, then released all of the contractors (without doing any conversions to permanent employment). Layoffs of perm programmers probably next. Software base is old, brittle, and eclectic. Lots of good people."
