"Due to the politics of the city government it was occasionally a challenge to move forward with new projects."

"Save yourself and do not apply. This company ruins good people and will cause high levels of stress."

"The constant harrassment and insults. No recognition for IT department. Culture of intimidation."

"Keep the CEO's husband (who does not work for the company) away from the company's employees."

What do you like about working at Convergys?
"The challenges of doing more with less, few tools and resources, poor peforming support systems do make for personal skill building. I like the creativity that must be brought to the table to get the job done."

"They will give you a good job. There is room for promotion, depending on where you start. Be wary of the layoffs and sellouts. Do not expect a long career."
What don't you like about working at Convergys?
"It was difficult performing in front of customers. After a deal was sold, most would bring a technical team of 10, 20, 30 or more to the table. We did it with only a few individuals and that became embarrasing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Consider not outsourcing everything overseas. Give people some kind of career path. Find an identity for cvg and stick too it."

"This is not like working for a business. It is a different work environment in the education field. There are different guidelines than business."

"The salary reduction and increased cost of benefits caused by decreased tax digest."

"None. They do the best they can with the budget they have."

"The co-workers and family feel of the company are great. The owners of Accord are very caring when it comes to employees."

"Be prepared to focus on just a small area of IT functions. Vertical growth is limited because of this."

"The new company wants the IT staff to all be specialized in one or two areas. It is very limiting."

"Mostly headquartered in New Jersey. Would not leave the organization if it was based in Arizona."

"The work environment was very good. I was able to learn a lot about the IT Field and how it works in business settings, versus by the book."

"There were some disagreements that came up once the former IT Manager left the company and I was the only Network Administrator remaining."

"There were some changes that needed to be made for this company. All of which were made after I left."

"The service that we were providing for the patients was very rewarding."

"The company is no longer around as Cambridge Home Health Care and the company that has taken over has replaced all Cambridge Home Health Care Support staff."

"The company was sold and the position was no longer available. The medical benefits package was extremely costly."

"Be prepared to put in long hours for little pay. It is a great company to get get your feet wet but it is not a place to further your career."

"The fact the company would not hire additional help to administer the network. Having only one system administrator for the size of their network is very problematic."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire additional employees and compensate for on-call hours, especially when the administrator has to drive long distances to respond."
