"Worked for NG 6 months. The manager gave me documents and code to review. The documents had already been reviewed by other team members. The code was given to you in units that were out of order with no compilers and you were supposed to review the code and find errors that the programmers somehow missed. Came in on Monday, and was told that 4 of us were being laid off on Thursday (Friday was Valentines Day holiday). Manager said they would do everything position to help, did not lift a finger."

"I've been working for Northrop Grumman since 2009. It was my first job right out of college, so my salary starting out felt pretty awesome for having little work experience. But, over time the CEO started taking vacation days away, then merit pools were lowered to 2% a year, and the incentive program now makes it impossible to get any kind of bonus or promotion. The facilities have mice and roaches. Whenever I talk to a senior engineer they say the company isn't like it used to be."

"I don't like about working at the company that don't have a potential to grow and wouldn't have a chance to wear a difference hat."

"I would suggest the management have cross training for other people to have an opportunity to learn the new commodity."

"Friendly environment. Big company with general good benefits. Multiple projects."

"At current situation. Not good for long term growth because aerospace/defense industry is going down."

What don't you like about working at Northrop Grumman?

"Not easy to get promotion. Top down approach that may not work well for top star."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Bottom up approach. Need to listen to people at the bottom. Middle managers pay attention to his/her only interest."
