What do you like about working at Northside Hospital?

"The supervisors and managers of the SCN/ NICU were fabulous. Further, the experienced RN staff members were always eager and willing to share their knowledge in an effort to aid in the growth of other RN's on the unit. Teamwork was evident throughout the unit and contributed to the effectiveness of patient care, patient outcomes and the overall success of unit function."

What do you like about working at Northside Hospital?

"Enjoy the friendliness of all volunteers and hospital staff. Really like seeing the CEO out and about, greeting and meeting with all levels of the hospital staff."

"Interview as yourself and make your own decision."

What don't you like about working at Northside Hospital?

"The manager was a micromanager and appeared to be a bigot. She was eventually promoted. There was incredible turnover in this department of people of color with and without notice. (I am not a person of color.)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Look at the turnover rate in departments. Perform exit interviews (there were no exit interviews performed)."

"The flexibility with hours. The positive encouragement I receive from supervisors as well as from peers that I am charge over for the day."

"12 hours shifts."

"listen to how your employers are feeling. And even though they might not be able to change something, words of support do help."

"Again, be yourself. I think that this is always the best way to interview and to communicate. You need to love children to work here."

"I liked most things about working at the Center. It was hard to help teach children who's parents were inconsistent with enrollment."
