"Be very careful. Many of the managers I worked for are gone now, but Philips is still more concerned with looking good to the shareholders and are less concerned with employee longevity. They would just as soon let good people walk out the door and hire someone cheaper with less of a work ethic."

"The management team lost sight of the customer service aspect and bogged us down with processes."

"Refocus on customer service, both internally and externally, properly train your staff and promote from within."

"If you start as a temp, they will actually hire you, which is always a mark of quality management."

"Very little. My specific job leaves me dissatisfied, but the company itself has been a good experience."

"Provide more cross-training to employees who request it, and avoid the isolation of departments -- our department is more related to the distant corporate office than it is to our current location, and this has caused some issues."

"Be relaxed and give them an accurate response of what you're looking for, and for management to relay the same information."

"I wasn't given a chance to work on any other product for they had personnel that were working on these different products for a lot longer and were direct hires also."

"Encourage cross training and communication on all levels, so as for everyone to have the same exact goal to be put in place."

"Management cuts out at 3 for golf. The buyers work until 7 or 8 pm every night."

"The pay is nice if you don't have a family or life."

"Depends on which department or position you apply for. Some have it easy and work from home a few days per week. Others are there 12-14 hours per day."

What don't you like about working at Philips Healthcare?

"For the three years I was there our department was very understaffed for the amount of work expected of us. All the VP cared about was money. High turnover and work/life balance was oblivious to him."

"Suck up and hire more buyers for the parts department. You've got twice as many service department employees and they chat in the breakroom all day."

"Our products enhance the health of babies, and our office is small."

"Stay out of the office politics, guard your words and thoughts."

"Previous manager didn't give me sufficient feedback and now new manager wants me to change everything."

"I would re-focus the group on working as a team and being supportive, not everyone out for themselves."
