3.1SiSTeR Technologies is an excellent place to jump in and begin your adventure into the development environment. There are many challenges to be met and many quirks that you will not find anywhere else. The people you work with truly make this company great, but be warned the people you work for will try very hard to make your life difficult. If you have a strong will and desire to work on an exciting product this is a great fit for you. But you will also need a very thick skin.
1.7I worked at this company for 5+ years. The people are great, but the company is poorly run. (That's an understatement.) There is no management, no HR, no onboarding. There is no employee handbook, the rules are made up as needed. The development environment is "every man for himself". They pay below any average out there, and expect the best talent. The CEO is a bully and very angry. He does not treat employees with respect (unless they are making him lots of money). I had to go to the hospital, management was angry, and the company retroactively canceled my health insurance. I do not recommend engaging with this company.
3I've been at Sister for 2 months now and I have to say that the co-workers are awesome, but the CEO is very hard and stressful to work with. He has anger issues (literally), and causes each day to be a yelling match with whomever he chooses.
I'm a laid back guy, but I'm afraid it is too much for me.
