4.6I worked for ResNet for my junior year of college (2013-2014). Th department atmosphere was very relaxed while maintaining a reasonable level of professionalism. Our main job was dedicated to computer/network repairs for the residential halls on campus. A select few of use were moved to a web development project for six months. This project was a responsive web application (written in NodeJs, Bootstrap and Yeoman) for the UCSC Dining services in order to provide information on the location/menu/hours/events at each dining establishment around campus.
4.8I've worked for OPERS in UCSC for almost three years. I had a great teamwork and a welcoming environment. This was very important because it brings trust in the team. When ideas came to mind I would discuss them with my boss. I had the opportunity to go beyond and help others in need. I was able to train others, help more in the facility, and educated and well inform the clients. This company taught me leadership, team worker, extending the help with other companies and groups, and most importantly expand your ideas to the company.
1.9Extremely high expectations for low pay. NO respect for lower level staff, we're there to get bullied. Staff and resources were cut, but the student pop. has increased significantly, increasing the workload. Staff are all working at least 3 jobs. No promotions. Impossible to get more than a mediocre performance review, which is only discouraging.
