"I worked for Unifirst for 3 years. The company offers good training and support."
"Great company with room to grow"
"I’ve worked for UniFirst for over 5 great years. UniFirst is a family owned company and you feel that now matter what position you work as. The leadership team is very top notch. You develop first class skills with the on going training that is in place. There is a very high since of strategic selling/developing/training that goes on with the sale teams at UniFirst. Great company to work for."
"Great people great work life balance."
"Not as good of a company as they make it seem. A lot of competition and it makes it tough to sell when they want you to use an east coast approach to sales in a Midwest setting."
"I've worked for Unifirst for one year. It's a great place to work. Great training program, tons of support for development and great work life balance. Would definitely recommend."
"The pay for salaried management with mandatory hours put in under current production manager was less than tech pay(maintenance) so not even worth advancing career with company. Forced by Production Manager to violate OSHA safety measures without even an attempt at proper PPE which in term also violates company policy which states no team member will enter a permit required confined space, only licensed contractors. Was told it was my job and I would do it if I wanted to keep my job. Made go into a fire tube filled with soot with no inhalation protection of any sort. Production employees being hired and promoted off of looks by Production Manager. Openly bragged about hiring something better to look at while at work and also made uncomfortable comments about getting shoulder rubs by female employees in the stock room first thing in the mornings. Denied pay raise that was written and agreed upon by Production Manager and told there was no copy of employee contract in file after General Manager, Production Manager, and Office Administrator was in office with door closed. Was called a liar and threatened by Production Manager when raise was brought up at date on contract. A personal copy was kept and presented. Was given raise and promised no retaliation or harassment by General Manager. This was a false promise and the retaliation/ harassment started immediately. Production Manager went to other staff members and management of production requesting the assistance to target me after HR was contacted numerous times over the harassment. Every time HR was contacted the General Manager would tell the Production Manager and harassment would intensify. Numerous false accusations involving full corporate HR investigations by Production Manager and General Manager, no paperwork was ever filed that was attempted to be given before investigations were performed. Incorrect numbers being input on corporate production forms as well as usage reports."
"Unifirst is a good company and is very stable, they try to stay up with technology, but try to do too much at once. They tend to forget the employees are human. Overall not a bad place to work, just the little things need changing."
