"I like the travel aspect once I could get leave to go off post. One time we got to ride horses up into the mountains for a weekend outing. It was brilliant."

"Try a short tour. Everyone needs to serve their country once."

What don't you like about working at United States Army?

"The drill sergeant. Do they have to be jerks or is it part of their TOE."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Promote based on ability, not time in-grade."
