"U.S. SIlica is a good company, located in a convenient part of town. There are great people who work there but the lead team can be lacking at times. We have been through many rounds of layoffs which lends to less desirable conditions."

"The place was a startup that began poorly. When managers were changed out, the atmosphere got a lot better. People finally focused on improving safety, performance, equipment failures, and training. The drug testing got rid of many poor performers and the place became a good place for many people to have a career. When the oil prices declined in 2020, the company laid off most of the employees. What's left is a skeleton crew."
