2.1I would hire people who know what they are doing as far as office management and administration. I wouldn't coddle scientists just because they bring in grant money. If you are the principal investigator, and therefore, head administrator of a multi-million dollar government grant, you sure as hell should know how to follow purchasing procedure, instead of bitching and moaning about how the University makes it impossible for you to conduct research because of policy violations! Maybe learn to follow the rules like everyone else, you're scientists, you should be able to understand this.
3.5I have worked for The University of Texas at San Antonio since I was a sophomore as a TA (teacher's assistant). I was a TA for two and half years for three different classes, Dynamic system and controls, Vibrations, and Mechatroics. I was responsible for preparing the exams for the students, as well as grades, and teaching the concepts that a student might have struggled with. As a Lab Instructor I was responsible for creating different ways to integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
