"Good people. Lower pay for the same level in other industries. Growth by acquisition has created a very complex business that can make projects that seem simple, very complicated. The culture is very meeting intensive because there is little autonomy, requiring senior level and even CEO approval on almost all strategies and tactics."
"Fast-paced, quick turnaround times"
"Overall good opportunities exist for employees. Company values and motto's are great, but not really put into practice on executive level. Very political and resistant to change, either positive or negative. Depending on the area of work at this company, I know experiences differ. Some are excited to go to work everyday and others can't wait to get out."
"It is a great company that truly values its employees."

What don't you like about working at Vail Resorts?
"Vail resorts spends like a child at a candy store and then tries to figure out how to pay for it later. THe marketing team is so consumed in there personal lifes and stories that they forget they are trying to attract business. They do not know how to make proper decisions and more often than not personal emotions play the major role in big discussions, HeidI Kertcher Pratt is at best a mediocre marketer who I feel makes wasteful decisions. They are notorious for the fighting between the other mountains and when corporate needs to flex muscle they rarely do."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think they need a new approach to the marketing team. The new CEO Rob Kats is a step in the right direction, now if they could match his ambition with talented marketers Vail would see themselves on top."
