"The owner controls every facet of the business, down to the smallest details, and will not trust anyone to make decisions on their own."

"Responsibility must be disseminated and decisions left to others. It is OK to be involved and know what is going on. It is entirely another for all management positions to have their hands tied and feel they cannot make a decision without checking with the owner, even on the smallest of details."
