What do you like about working at Virginia Tech?
"It will sound good on my resume and I get a paycheck."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The pace of life is very slow. If you like to be constantly on the go, this is not for you. Also be prepared for massive egos. Also know there is limited upward mobility and that many administrative jobs require a master's degree or higher. I have the skills to have a managerial job, but not the master's degree. So the only communications jobs I can get here are part-time ones because you don't get full-time unless you are in some managerial role."
What don't you like about working at Virginia Tech?
"No full-time opportunities without a master's degree, all style over substance, not enough of a workload for me to stay busy. I hate the slow pace of things. I work too fast for this."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would make this place more about substance than about style."
