"poorly managed staff/teams, too much uncertainty due to limited staff/projects at NYC and on-going merger/acquisitions with UTC made the work environment very much shuffled, uncertain, hiring/firing, etc."
"Great people to work with. Good benefits and excellent bonuses"
"Great company. Client dependent. Good work/life balance"
"Efficent company with standard corp structure."
"Pro: Rockwell Collins is great company to be a part of. Cons: most departments are slow in technology."
"Poor management and communication. Zero work-life balance. Sure you have a “vacation”, but are expected to being your laptop and work. My organization was very poorly-run."
"Chaotic work environment. Teams are more interested in blaming each other than they are working together. Some projects are well planned while others use shotgun approach."
"I worked at Arinc in their Marina Del Rey, CA office in 2011. The coworkers were very helpful and passionate. Management was not always good at providing direction and the core software product was built a while ago. Because core product was older a lot of the original developers had left and so did all their knowledge."
"I was with Rockwell Collins, Hyderabad, India. The company has got its own image in Aviation sector. It is spread globally. It maintains good employee ethics and is always appreciable."
"Great people's company to work for. Very friendly."
"A very good place for an entry level engineer wanting to obtain experience working in the aircraft avionics industry. Very poor management at all levels who do their best to prevent you from doing your job and getting things done. Project engineers generate schedules that make them look good (very little time or resources required to design and deliver a product) but a nightmare for individuals actually performing the work. Requirements constantly change requiring hours of rework, however, delivery date remains fixed. Engineers working on the project get blamed for not meeting unreasonable deadlines."
"Rockwell Collins is a world leader in innovative Avionic products."
"Absolutely THE WORST ES&H culture of ANY company out there. ES&H staff are not given a budget that they control. All spending goes through facilities management. No one can tell you how much money has been allocated for ES&H and you can't see the budget. You need to beg to get funding for anything. It is obvious that the company wants nothing to do with ES&H and only keeps you around as a scapegoat. ES&H regs are ignored as long as no one is caught. The company talks about ethics being important and even forces you to take ethics classes but acts completely unethically."
"I'd recommend this company to a friend. Overall a great company to work for."
"I have worked for Rockwell Collins\ARINC for over a year as a contractor and while I like my job it is limited by the fact that I am a contractor. The company is great to work for but my role is, as I said, limited."
