3 Take a close look at the guys that service the Pope/Bragg area of NC right now and take notes. The work sites often suck, but that can't be controlled. These guys make a bit of difference when it comes to dealing with frustrations.

2.9 I believe that there is a limiting growth opportunity if you do not fit the mold of what they want in a recruiter. Everyone seems to dress, look, and act the same. For a first job out of college, I can see how this is a decent job, but for others who have experience, the inconsistencies and unprofessional manner can be alarming. The training can also be improved as each recruiter is assigned to an account manager when they are new hires. With that said, some account managers do not provide the correct training tools, which leave some recruiters to learn on their own and not create the same growth opportunities equally.

3.1 I worked for TEKsystems for two years, and in my first year and half there it was my ideal situation. I was promised great things, and as time passed, the leadership just wasn't able to deliver on those promises. The pursuit to become management internally proved impossible, and after all of my leadership was let go, and new leadership brought it, I was told that I was poorly managed and that there was no place for me in the company. It was sudden, and not in standing with the company values.

TEKsystems is a major IT services provider that operates worldwide. It is part of the Allegis Group and is headquartered in Hanover, Maryland. TEKsystems was founded as part of the Aerotek group in 1983. In 1990, TEKsystems split off from Aerotek in order to specialize in IT services. TEKsystems currently provides human capital management and IT services to businesses worldwide. The company employs well over 60,000 IT professionals in client locations around the world. TEKsystems careers are valued in the IT industry; the company is very stable and has provided world-class staffing services to both U.S.-based and international businesses for nearly two decades.

The majority of individuals employed by the company are independent contractors. Recruiters in each of the markets in which TEKsystems operates assign IT and engineering professionals to the company's clients on an as-needed basis. While working at TEKsystems may not provide reliable year-round employment, the majority of IT contractors working with the company find that they are employed on a relatively regular basis. They are well-compensated for their work and are occasionally offered ongoing training opportunities. Some contractors have the ability to work in international locations.

Competition is high among global IT staffing providers. As such, the TEKsystems culture values individuals who are innovative and flexible. Employees of TEKsystems must be able to design solutions for clients and troubleshoot at the client's location. Because they may work in a different business or office from month to month, TEKsystems employees must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals. The company values IT professionals who possess excellent communication skills and are able to work independently. TEKsystems also employs recruiters in markets throughout the U.S. and in two international offices. These recruiters are responsible for developing a stable of IT talent and for assigning individuals to company contracts. These employees need not be IT professionals, but must understand the industry and must be able to match the talents and abilities of independent contractors with the needs of clients.

The majority of TEKsystems employees are independent contractors and do not receive an employer-sponsored benefits package. Employees are responsible for purchasing their own health insurance and funding their own retirement savings plans. Individuals who are employed in central offices as administrative or recruitment staff do receive a TEKsystems benefits package and are offered medical, dental and vision care. They can participate in an employee assistance program, which includes mental health benefits and may also earn paid time off and vacation.
