Auto Damage Adjuster at GEICO
in Orlando, FL

"Some positives about GEICO were the offer of a company car. However the car is completely “wrapped” so you will be driving a billboard around. The pay was less than average based on what other companies are paying for this job. The benefits were good for a family but your time with your family will suffer greatly due to the heavy workload and no overtime is allowed (you will work for free after your 7.75 hour day and you will do this 4 our of 5 days a week). The micromanagement that is strongly encouraged from the top is unbearable and our local manager regularly practiced lying to us about how things were going to get better and change for the better which they never never never did."

What don't you like about working at GEICO?

"Geico is a good company to work for. The position is where the stress comes from. I am dealing with peoples' cars and money, pretty much the two things people care most about. People don't want to listen to what I have to tell them, and they constantly get angry or aggressive when they don't understand what's going on."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would focus less on the massive multitude of metrics we are demanded to exceed in."
