2 Decision Support Managers from Club Med submitted salaries.
Club Med, formally known as Club Mediterranee, is a corporation founded by Belgian sports star Gerard Blitz in 1950 as a collection of all-inclusive vacation resorts located in exotic destinations around the world. Affluent singles and young couples were among its first members, paying a flat rate as a joining fee and another flat rate for two week vacation accommodations in such locations as Switzerland, Spain, Tahiti and the Caribbean.
Following its purchase in 1961 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Club Med expanded beyond its original beach resorts to include winter villages for skiing and other snow sports. Club Med destinations were also added in Florida and the Caribbean as the clientele gradually expanded to include more families looking for vacation resort holidays. With headquarters in Miami, Florida and Paris, France, Club Med has survived several downturns following 9/11 to become a key player in the travel and tourism industry, with annual revenues surpassing $1.36 billion.
Club Med employs more than 20,000 individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds for its locations ranging from Israel and the Netherlands to North America and the United Kingdom. Club Med staff are known as "GOs" or Genteel Organizers, serving "GMs" or Guest Members at the 80 villages it currently operates worldwide. Employee contracts are 6 months in length with 6 days working and one day off. Accomodations and meals are provided to employees, who benefit from an online employee network so employees can keep in touch as they accept new assignments in more exotic locations.
Decision Support Manager is the highest paying job at Club Med at $81,000 annually.
