"Great company to work for. Amazing work environment. The Department of Corrections has an amazing work environment and you get to help people every day. The benefits are good. Vacation time, good medical benefits, and overtime whenever you want it. I really do not have any complaints about the Department of Corrections."

"I've worked at this company for about a year and a half. So far the people I have had the privilege of working with have been incredibly helpful and supportive. The position itself was steady and secure. It was overall a positive experience."

"I have been working for a state penitentiary for about the past 9 years. The experience was an eye-opener and taught me many things about the quality of people and how their current situation in life does not determine the type of person they truly are."

"I worked for MDOC for eight months from May 2013 to January 2014. It was quite the experience and I learned a lot in the ways of physical security. The job itself was a bit dangerous and could use a bit more state funding as training is a mere three weeks long which for many with no security or combat experience is not long enough, considering you are guarding violent offenders."

"I worked for this company for temporary project length of 3 months. It was specific to third party tools integration for SharePoint. I did not see much anticipated work being done or planned for the project to be completed successfully, lack of governance and scope of the project never being defined as it's required."

"I have worked with the Folsom State Prison for almost 3 years. Since working there, I have gained invaluable experience as a phlebotomist under the most trying of circumstances. Working with inmates, patients, has taught me to be very detailed and focused on what I am doing at all times. At no time have ever felt in danger, as most might think, in fact I have thoroughly enjoyed working there and would recommend to anyone that the prison system is a good place to gain experience."
