4.1I’ve worked for DSHS since October 2016 as a Public Benefits Specialist. The organization offers a variety of opportunities and benefits. You have the ability to help the community with those in need of resources. You will be able to spend time with your supervisor to understand why policies are interpreted differently from one individual to another. You will face challenges, but don’t be discouraged this will help you grow as a Financial Worker. The opportunity to move in the organization is not easy, however if you network with others this may help you succeed your goal of moving up in the State Government ladder. The organization offers medical and dental insurance plus vacation and sick leave. Overall the organization is a good place to work, if you are interested in working for the State Government.
