"I've worked for EmCare as a billing coordinator for 3 years. Each year I have received nearly a 3% raise. I started at $11.70 hr. I like it because I work independently and my boss is rarely on site. You have to like working alone to like this job."

"Just be aware this is a little city all its own and if you cant hold your own against the rumors and click's, then this might not be the place for you."

"Listen to the employee and not use excuses for the behavior of doctors. Don't blame the employee for it instead."

"There were many managers and supervisors I had to list to and often times, they didn't agree on different parts of a policy or project so I had different feedback on my job."

"Just sitting down and figuring out the policy or a new project before assigning it so the person in charge of that project knows how to complete it without conflicting information"

"I really enjoyed working with the physicians, and the majority of my co-workers were a pleasure to work with as well."

"Senior management created a hostile work environment for a number of employees. Frequent calls to Corporate HR by multiple employees became a necessity. Racist, homophobic and misogynistic comments were frequent and targeted by one member of senior management. The company as a whole encouraged a culture of mistrust and micro-management, and did not pay their employees their worth."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest to corporate management that they take regional HR complaints seriously. I would suggest that, at the regional level, management learn to trust and respect their employees. I would suggest that the company closely review their salary standards."
