"The company overall is a great sell, but when it comes to leadership and guidance there is none. Hiring me on board was to help grow the company and steer it in the direction of success. Commissions are never paid on time and you as a rep would need to chase after him before you can get paid. Having reimbursements is like hunting for a unicorn as it will never be given to you when it is promised."

"I came here with open eyes and yes, I did read the comments on the web. What I see is a company, like so many, dealing with a challenging economy. I also see a president who is hiring people who can do the job to move this company in the right direction; who isn't afraid to admit the company needs to change and wants to see it change; who wants the company to be fun, challenging but most of all a place where people want to come to work. My job is to change how the sales team works and how we go to market. I want my salespeople to succeed and make a lot of money, but that comes with a lot of hard work. No one in today's market is going to give you a job in which you can just sit back while the cash rolls in. You have to work for it. I see the salespeople here working for it. If you want to be challenged, this is the place to work."

"The President and Recruiter will attempt to sell you a dream during the interview process. The interview will be riddled with unrealistic earnings, unattainable growth and future plans that have remained in “dream mode” for too many years by the President. The earning potential as advertised is not attainable under the current commission plan as the territory goals are arbitrarily raised without reason or explanation. Ask a lot of questions during the interview and proof of past commission payouts. I’d even ask to speak with a current sales rep one on one. If they refuse, you know why. Turnover rate is extremely high and has been for years. Only two people have over a few months tenure on the team. This revolving door is due to the toxic culture created at the top. Unrealistic and constantly changing goals, little to no communication, out of stock inventory and a leader that does not care about his employees create an unmotivated sales team that does not make the advertised money. This culture is not exclusive to the sales team. The belittling, berating and condescension by the top is rampant throughout every department. The company struggles to retain managers in the sales department. Two managers have resigned in less than 12 months which puts less support for the sales department. The office is overrun with plants that house gnats throughout the entire office, refrigerator and restrooms. Mice run through the office and leave droppings on the desks and furniture. The temperature is always freezing cold, whether summer or winter because the President likes it cold with no concern for anyone else. The only perk in the office is coffee, but bring your own cup unless you like to share with the entire office staff. Run from this job if you are looking to make money, good culture or the ability to grow with a company."
