Transportation Supervisor

"I worked for Genesis Logistics for a little over two and a half years. I was the transportation supervisor and I was in charge of 100 drivers. The day to day life there was chaotic and unpredictable. Every day we were expected to get the job done with little resources. Although we were able to complete the work the issues still remained. Upper management wasn't really any help, everyone was busy worrying about how to fix the problem without actually doing anything about it. It was more of who we can blame for the problems instead of trying to solve them. We delivered to 950 plus 7-11 stores a night and we had a fleet of about 50 tri-temp vehicles. We ran about 50 routes in order to complete the deliveries. Work-life balance was poor with this company, they expected their employees to be there 10 to 12 hours a day, every day."
