"It's a mindless job. The non-management people were really nice. You can easily leave work at work. No need to take work home with you.**Please bear in mind that I worked there many years ago and my answers may not be applicable anymore!**"

What don't you like about working at Keane?

"They seemed to have trouble balancing the family-owned legacy vs. growing into a large company. The management was almost all in the family, which is fine. But, they were also buying out competitors so they were definitely looking to grow but seemed unwilling to bring in non-family folks for those higher up positions. It's a great job if you want to stay in the same position for a really long time and don't mind doing the same thing day in and day out."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't be afraid to use technology. Everyone refused to use the computer to create documents. They wrote it out and the Admin Asst had to type it Save yourself some time and do it yourself of dictate it to the Asst."

"A good firm until they got into outsourcing American IT jobs to India. Now they are owned by an Indian firm."

"I loved it as we moved from an IT Body Shop into true management and was sickened by outsourcing to India and laying off those who were doing the jobs in the USA."

"Leave. And most have, starting companies based upon the old Keane philosophy"

"They leave their employees at the mercy of the client... so long as you are billing hours, they don't care about your growth, your challenges on your contract, or your input back to them about the relationship with the client"

"Be more availabile to your employees, especially when they tell you that your team is being set up to be a patsy"

"If you like to travel you will love working for Keane! It honest to goodness was a very nice place to work, people were great, many opportunities to learn and grow, but you must be willing to travel."

"After I quit my previous employer (stable position) to come work for Keane as a consultant on a work from home position Keane changed their minds about working from home...you had to be onsite with the client 4 days a week. So, once my current job was over (client put funding on hold until the vendor could actually do their programming) I had no other assignment to do and I was out of a job!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Grandfather in rules...I was told I would be a work from home and should have been able to have worked from home as long as I stayed at Keane. Instead, I ended up after 5 weeks of being pursued by Keane to take this job accepting it and then no job at all!"

"It was a team of friendly people where I could learn in a very comfortable environment."

"The fact that the last assignment in 2005 ended, and that I haven't found the next opportunity to rejoin Keane."

"Keane is a good place. they're not the normal consulting company body shop."

"No bad experiences. Unfortunately the work ran out at the company I was working at and there was no other suitable place to go."
