"Mystudio has some of the most wonderful, talented, supportive teammates you can work with. My immediate leads and managers, I couldn't ask for better leadership. I've learned and grown a lot in my position in a matter of months and I do not take that for granted. These are the best and only redeeming qualities of this company. Everything else: - pay discrepancies and wage theft - lack of a pay raise structure (ie if you're considered for a promotion or given more responsibility, there's a large chance you will not receive a pay raise). - terrible benefits package - the unnecessarily strict time off policy and in office policy (ie for any reason you can't be in office, you are not allowed to work from home, and new hires don't accrue PTO until SIX MONTHS), when over half the team is out of state and remote. - turnover rate is high, but unavoidable (they've fired four people without notice in less than a month, and lost two directors, one to a better paying position and another because they wanted to force him in office when he lived in a different state) - culture of fear and toxic positivity - lack of communication on important company changes during an intense era of scaling - lack of support from upper level management - lack of direction from upper level management - lack of job security, where your position can be threatened without prior warning or documentation at any time (this happened to me twice) - "moose in the room" (I never want to hear that term again) - and most importantly, a lack of professionalism from an incompetent, controlling Senior Director who, in a matter of weeks since she stepped in her role, has managed to ruin the safe, fun culture our support team has cultivated amongst ourselves (not to mention she's only in the position because she's the CEO's sister, not because she actually has the credentials for the made up position given to her) - makes working at Mystudio a miserable experience."
