"This is, far and away, the absolute worst company I have ever been employed by in my decades of professional experience. Micromanagement is the name of the game at OUC. The current manager I work with, not my "on paper" manager - so disjointed and chaotic is this organization, has zero professional experience in the type of work the group performs. This was confirmed by several senior leaders who have said this person "doesn't belong in that role." The Director I work under publicly embarrassed me so badly in a large-scale meeting that he felt the need to apologize, in writing. In this same communication, he acknowledged that I was being given no support in my current role with which to succeed as a new employee. The internal "joke" at OUC is the ubiquitous "other duties as assigned" line in all of the job descriptions. I'm being asked to perform job duties wildly outside of my professional experience and, as the Director mentioned, receiving zero support. Yet I'm being held accountable as an expert in this field I've never once worked in. In short, OUC is a horridly toxic workplace founded on chaos, combativeness and ineptitude. It's no wonder experienced, high-level leaders quit without notice every other week."
