"I worked for the Department of Environment and Infrastructure in Pinellas County for five months. I was hired and moved, without assistance, from Northeast Ohio and let go in the last month of my probation period because I was "not a good fit". I believe my position was at risk for being dropped due to redundancy and it was just easier for them to let me go before I was out of my probationary period. While I was there, the Department was in a constant state of change, which from my understanding had been going on for over five years. Many employees were fearful of their job security with many layoffs over the past few years."
