What do you like about working at Pocono Mountain Charter School?
"I enjoyed the pace and variety of starting a new school. The challenges were from outside, the state and the supervising district, and from the students who were largely from NYC schools with low reading levels. We met all the challenges but could not overcome the practices of the Board. That created investigations into fraudulent practices. The reason why is rooted in the relationship between the school personnel, the Board membership in the church from which the school rented space."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The company is one I never heard of. Doing as much h-w as possible plus personal experience would be essential for an interview."
What don't you like about working at Pocono Mountain Charter School?
"I never had a better job until all the money issues became apparent last year."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Since I managed the school except for the actually expenditure of monies, I would want more control over that issue."
