Save the Children Fund Employee

"I've worked for Save the Children in a fairly senior project management position based overseas for the past two years. Save's mission is amazing. Save the Children US is not an amazing employer. I've seen and experienced things at Save I've never experienced elsewhere. In particular, they've made huge payroll errors that resulted in them just billing me the equivalent of five months of take-home pay. Read that again...it's not a joke...and it wasn't the least bit my fault. It was a major organizational error and the organization basically refuses to take real responsibility for the error. As such, my recommendation...don't sing on with Save if you need to depend on the salary you receive from them. They are not trustworthy."
