"I worked for Windstream Enterprise for roughly 18-months as a Sales Director. The company entered CH11 restructuring and Covid challenges however, the main challenges was poor company wide participation (20% across all reps selling anything) and high attrition (3 complete rep turns in 18 months). Lack of success at this scale is strategic and senior leadership issue where there was no meaningful change visible. Only viable solution is to sell the enterprise unit and concentrate on the Incumbent Kinetic business. Reduction of resources and people strongly support the business unit sell off position...Company is owned by Elliot Capital Management"
"I took pride in my own work, but Windstream was not ran well from the top, nearly the entire 8 years I was there."
"Great company to work for. Good management and great co-workers and supervisors. The company has gone through some financial hardships, just now emerging from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but any new position should have more stability than it would have previously as a result of the current firmer footing."
"I worked at Windstream for almost 10 years. It was an incredible experience getting to work alongside some of me most dedicated and innovative people in the telecommunication field. I grew my career within Windstream, thanks in part to their training and development opportunities."
"I worked for Windstream for over 7 years. It is a good company"
"Great company to work for."
"I started my career with Paetec Communications back in 2011 and soon after was bought out by Windstream Communications. Over the years, there has been a swift decline in employee morale. Employee turnover is at an all time high. There have been many “restructuring” layoffs which foster a feeling of low job security"
"I worked for Windstream Communications for 8 years. Windstream struggled to generate revenue increases and as result focused on cost cutting to manage margins. On February 25, 2019 Windstream filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and significantly restructured and consolidated positions at all levels."
"Fantastic Place to work. Relevant work."
"I worked for 15 hours per day almost 84 hours per week and still the upper management was not able to keep me a full time employee; reason due to budget. Except that, best people and technologies to work with."
"I work remotely for Windstream communications - I am pleased with my employment at the company but fear that with system consolidations that my position may be in jeopardy."
"I have worked with Windstream both as a contractor and as a full-time employee. During my tenure both times I noticed that Windstream has a strong team-oriented culture while being efficient working remotely at the same time. Processes were constantly changing to increase productivity."
"One of the better companies I have worked for. Good benefits and mostly all electronic. Watch for the year-end layoffs due to restructuring."
"I think the company has some serious issues with senior level management. The company stock directly correlates on the performance of the senior level management. This is the only company I have ever seen where the low and mid level management is constantly under threat of downsizing. Every year the company experiences layoffs at low and mid level positions; however, no senior level management experiences any layoffs. Only time senior level positions become vacant is under volunteer separations situations."
"Windstream provides great opportunities for growth in the Networking field. Employees receive around $5000 in yearly reimbursement for education expenses, certifications, and so on, in addition to several weeks of vacation, and sick days. Overall it is a good company to work for and grow, and the people I work with are great."
