3.5 I'm a Seasoned Recruiter, but Advantage Sales & Marketing, now Advantage Solutions, had the most uncomfortable working environment I've ever worked in. The amenities and office set up was appropriate, but the temps that were funneled in, to recruit Nationwide, were mostly uneducated, unprofessional, and most acted like juveniles. I've never witnessed so many on the spot firing of the temps, by walking up to their cubicles daily with a box and BAM, they're out! Everyday was nerve racking, for fear of "who's next?". I was confident in my assignment, since I made/exceeded my numbers and goals, the right way, but was counting the days, I could leave. My first day was like a Cattle Call, and I was hesitant to stay during the training, after witnessing many new Recruiters, working formerly in Auto Stores, Car Sales, Fast Food, Bill Collectors, etc. On a fair note; I do respect the Agency that hired me for the assignment. From day one, I knew this was not the place for an employee who has long term career goals, dresses the part, follows the rules, has good work ethics, and can see right through the menagerie! There were so many security issues while there, and these were predicted one by one, as I noted. The high turn-over for Project Leaders on each team, was a "Three Ring Circus". Two out of the three Managers I had, were more of your TMZ subjects. One bragged how she dated. Well it didn't come as a surprise nor was I impressed, that the hooker shoes coupled with short spandex dresses that she wore to the office, weren't the best professional example for employees within the office, but dating Bill was supposedly a credential?! The culture's diversified but predominantly, Hispanic and African American. I have no prejudices, but they were favored, even if their numbers were low. The dress code wasn't enforced for them either. I was relieved to have my assignment end and I didn't even put their company name on my Resume, due to embarrassment!

2.6 I was hired , worked very hard & learned how to read and execute a skematics. Moved steel , moved merchandise, and reset product. I was told on a Friday to log on to their website the following Wednesday . For what reason , they did not say . I anxiously waited 5 long days to find out they were dismissing me . I wasn't put on the schedule until that day, which if I'd known , I could've been seeking other income to compensate the days I was out of employment , yet they said nothing except I didn't meet their qualifications . I thought my work was exemplary. They never gave me a warning or a review the two months I was working whether I was doing good or bad I know I was doing good because of the other employees I worked with commented and gave me positive reinforcement and positive comments on how well I was doing. I saw a lot of favoritism and a lot work related flaws that we were taught to do one way yet told to leave it even if it was incorrectly done. I felt very shunned and very sad at how we were just tossed to the side without any explanation. But more so that we were not given a pat on the back when we were doing good or how to correct issues. We were reprimanded left and right by Alan our supervisor. In the beginning he said ask as many questions as you need to yet when we did we were talked down to or he made comments that we should have known what we were doing by now yet the position was only 4 months new for everybody. It wasn't that hard and I started to pick up on it right at the time of my layoff which was barely two months into the job. We drove to Stockton which is out of our Sacramento. Early hours in the a.m. When Andy Dominguez let us go at our interview nothing was said in a comforting way as if we did something really wrong. I dedicated my time and efforts to this position and I feel like they had no compassion for how they let me go. On top of the fact they let me hang for 5 days with no word of what or why I was taken off the schedule .Ty.

2.6 Once hired my recruiter wouldn't return voicemail or email and after being on board two months. RM also dismissive. Basically, a new hire trains remotely and especially if a total rookie has no solid idea how the whole thing will be. Working at a Walmart is rough...AS vendors will also discover this. Be prepared for much grief and to be a thorn in not only store employees' but managers' side. No lie, you may be mistreated. Then there's the Company drama. It all can really be a deal breaker. The retirees doing this must be hardy and admirable as one has to be repeatedly resilient and smiley faced against shoppers who constantly pull demonstrator aside for questions better answered by store employees; archaic Company equipment; opposition by Walmart workers, including customer service staffers; error evident instructions/conflicting ideas and crazy making. I could think of so many not little things the Company could make much easier for the demo artists but did not. Again, the situations and petty personality conflicts others throw will make an ES wish they never went to work, and eventually it finally got through. I lasted as long as I did because of a couple true professional Company colleagues who were in the same proverbial boat. The rating is more for the Store's and overall job conditions. Company experience may vary on city/state and specific managers. I would rate the woe and realistic experience at best, a one point five.
