Before AK, I operated a small refractory company my father and I started in 2002. There, I managed several production lines and was a key player in business expansion and growth."

"I had issue from the start with a laptop that was too slow and never was able to get it upgraded. Interns that came in after me had better hardware then I had. Management wasn't the greatest never communicated with me on things I was doing wrong, nor gave me the hardware to do my job at a basic level. I did go in from a contract level still thought I had the short end of the stick for months. I wanted to leave but I kept on with them hoping they would bring me on full time... no they will use contract and by that I mean long term contract then try to renew them. Not worth going in to the company unless you want to work contracts."
"Not a nice place to work. They act like dictators of your life, telling you what kind of long-johns you can wear, whether you can change your own tire in the parking lot, arbitrarily extending your work day 18 minutes so they can harp on you about somebody somewhere that hurt himself with a crescent wrench. The supervisors write people up, and they say, "I'll get brownie points from upper management for disciplining an employee." They take safety to the point that you have a very hard time doing your job, making you wear protective sleeves that make you sweat profusely, even in cold weather. Expect to be treated like a robot, not a human."
