"I have left the company less than half year. APC has two sites. One in Vista, CA. Another one is in Sunnyvale, CA. I spent more than 7 years in the company; and I am only revealing the facts without any personal opinion. 1. I only had a 2% raise in the last 8 years. If I stay there this year, it would be unchanged (I was already informed before departure). 2. When management tells you something, there is almost a catch for every single thing he/she said. Therefore, I learnt to write a work log for my everyday activity; and I learnt to get a written confirmation for everything, especially documents I signed but will not be returned to me afterwards. 3. One additional thing about 2. I now think of every possible next move the person I encountered may possibly take. 4. There is a group where you'll find more than 75% of people come from the same nation. I don't want to say it's a silo. You find out. 5. When I left the company, I signed several documents. One of them is "Fair Wage". If it's fair, why ask the departed to sign? 6. Every management books I read said "if your employees cannot perform up to your standard, let him/her go early in an honest, candid manner." Instead, I had to give my resignation. 7. Since the end of recession (2009), my productivity increased between 10-25% every year. And I only get 2% raise during my 8 years there. 8. I refused to sign my job description last year (basically, very few companies ask in-job employees to do that), for it did not match what I did. The VP gave me a warning for that. However, no subsequent action was taken when I said "you don't have to wait for 3 warnings to let me go", and still refused to sign. I did not sign the warning he issued also. 9. My current job title is lower than what I had in APC. But my pay is 25% more!! 10. APC is the only peptide company I worked. Work / life balance - you have to know your value, and be able to fight for it!"
