Autodesk, Inc. is the world’s preeminent producer of computer-aided design software (CAD) software, with applications in many different industries including architecture, construction, engineering, manufacturing and entertainment.

The company’s flagship product is a computer drafting program called AutoCAD which has revolutionized the world of design. Autodesk is headquartered in San Raphael, California, employs approximately 6,800 workers and earns revenues of approximately $1.7 billion annually. The company is organized into four segments:

• Platform Solutions and Emerging Business and Other (PSEB) which develops, customizes and manages AutoCAD across various market segments.

• Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC)

• Manufacturing Solutions (MSD) which provides customized solutions for industrial designers, manufacturers of automotive components and the tool and die industries among other things

• Media and Entertainment (M&E) which facilitates the creation of digital media in film, television, animation and gaming.
