"Flexibility. Patent Engineer/Analyst positions at Cardinal IP offer a massive amount of flexibility. You eventually choose your own hours and get paid based on your production output. Generally, this is fine. However, compensation does not necessarily increase with the quality of your work, only the quantity. The company culture is abysmal (nobody talks to each other at any level, no events, no team meetings, etc.) and the training program is non-existent (yet you will get blamed for a lack of knowledge that was never taught). Compensation is questionable at best and HR is generally unwilling to side with lower-level employees, even in cases of misconduct by upper management. Huge red flag. If all you care about is flexibility, this is the job for you. If you want upward mobility, professional development opportunities, or any amount of social culture, do NOT go with this company."
"Good working environment but not enough experienced people between DEV and QA"
"A great place to work. Highly recommend."
"Working at Cardinal IP is a challenge. The work I do is not boring, but tough and quite rewarding most of the time. At my previous job, I used to have a lot of downtime spent doing nothing. Here I am always busy and my mind is always working, which I need in my day. I love the people I work with as they make the day go by with ease. Benefits are not the best, but compensation is outstanding - second to none flexibility."
"Management took a poor path and the headache simply wasn't worth it anymore."

"Morale has gone down significantly recently, it was once a good place to work for but they let that go by trying to find something more to manage or by following the recommendations of their most recent PhD/LLM/MBA/Process engineer type who thinks they can come up with more ways to complicate the process in order to justify their paycheck."

"Management / process engineers seem hell-bent on coming up with an endless number of check-lists and additional requirements for patent office work while simultaneously reducing compensation."
